Description

Yes, I know it's not a snake.. I was thinking exotic and the name stuck..

So this is green aventurine and pure copper wire and copper beads. It's pretty delicate due to 20 gauge and 26 gauge copper wire. I really need to oxidize it but I lack liver of sulfur. Maybe another time.. or see what time does to it.

This is a first attempt. I know it's imperfect but I didn't know what I was getting into! The copper gets work hardened far too quickly gah! There are tons of starts and stops because I kept cutting the wire and restarting lol.

around 3 inches long, the pendant free hangs. Completely my design-- I actually drew something different but winged it while I worked.

hmmmm... interestingly enough, aventurine is named after an accidental invention of shimmery glass that was caused by dropping copper flakes into it... so this is really a perfect pairing of metal and stone. it's beautiful.
